  • 2 cups water or vegetable broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream to achieve luxurious creaminess

Preparation

  • Begin by heating butter in a pot over medium heat.
  • Add the sliced mushrooms and sauté until they turn golden brown, about 5-7 minutes.
  • Toss in minced garlic and let it cook for an additional minute until fragrant.
  • Pour in the white wine and allow it to simmer until it has reduced by half.
  • Add water or vegetable broth, then let the mixture cook for about 10-15 minutes.
  • Blend the mixture until smooth, using an immersion blender or a traditional blender.
  • Stir in the heavy cream, season with salt and pepper to taste, and gently heat through before serving.

Notes

Best enjoyed garnished with fresh herbs like parsley or chives. Pairs well with crusty bread or a light salad.
