Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 2 pieces chicken breasts Preferably boneless and skinless
  • 8 oz bowtie pasta Can substitute with other pasta varieties
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream Can substitute with light milk
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Parmesan cheese for serving Freshly grated for best flavor
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

Preparation

  • Cook the bowtie pasta according to package instructions. Once done, drain and set aside.
  • In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
  • Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute, or until fragrant.
  • Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper. Add to the skillet and cook, turning occasionally, until golden brown and cooked through (about 6-7 minutes per side). Remove the chicken and set aside on a plate.
  • Pour the heavy cream and chicken broth into the same skillet. Stir to combine, then add the Italian seasoning.
  • Once the sauce is simmering, return the chicken to the skillet and let it simmer for a few minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
  • Toss the cooked bowtie pasta in the skillet until the pasta is well-coated with the sauce.
  • Serve hot, garnished with grated Parmesan cheese and fresh parsley.

Notes

Serve in wide, shallow bowls and consider pairing with a side salad or garlic bread. For a crispy pairing, a light, crisp white wine is recommended.
