  • 1/4 cup butter Unsalted butter recommended.
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced Fresh garlic is preferred.
  • 1/2 cup lemon juice Substitute with lime juice for a zesty twist.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Season the chicken breasts generously with salt and pepper.
  • Heat the butter in a skillet over medium heat, then add the minced garlic, cooking until fragrant—about 30 seconds.
  • Stir in the lemon juice, combining it well with the garlic butter.
  • In a shallow dish, mix the grated parmesan with a pinch of salt and pepper.
  • Dredge each seasoned chicken breast in the parmesan mixture until well coated, then place them in the skillet.
  • Sear the chicken for 3-4 minutes on each side, until they achieve a lovely golden brown color.
  • Once seared, transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 20 minutes, or until the chicken is fully cooked.
  • Drizzle the remaining garlic lemon butter sauce over the chicken, garnish with chopped parsley, and serve immediately.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days. Can be reheated in the oven or microwave. Optional variations include adding herbs or using different citrus juices.
